When one of the greatest and most iconic NBA players of all-time Michael Jordan announced his retirement from Basketball in 1994 and chose to pursue a career in Baseball instead it surprised the world completely due to how huge of a plot twist in his career it was, it's like becoming the APEX athlete in one sport then moving into a sport that is relatively unknown putting you way down the ranks in terms of skill.
To those who knew him best it didn't come as a surprise as his Father always wanted to see his son play Baseball and after he passed away he wanted to fulfil his Father's wishes. He signed with Class AA Souther League's Birmingham Barons who were an affiliate team to Chicago White Sox as the owner also owned Chicago Red Bulls, and well you can figure how he got the job.
However, it was a short-lived career as he only played for one year before returning to the NBA, it was full of highs and lows as early into the career he made the game looks easy, going 0 for 7 in his first two matches and reeling off a 13 game hitting streak that gave him a .327 batting average in late April, if what you just read didn't make any sense in simple terms, he was doing well as a Baseball player. Despite this, he still wasn't fully happy with himself as he wasn't getting the games he wanted and was annoyed at himself for not being the heights he was hitting at the NBA.
So with that little history lesson being told, we introduce the Jordan 11 'Baron's following visual cues from the Birmingham Baron's uniform with a predominantly black upper that has been contrasted with a clean white midsole, the other releases of Baron Jordan's have featured pinstripes on the inner sock liner but the 11's don't follow this and have chosen to go with a Mottled Metallic Silver mudguard that gives off a great unique style as its wraps the circumference in the iconic patent leather material. Mixes of suede and rich leathers adorn the sneaker for a premium look. Contrasting white Jumpman & 23 brandish the heel of the sneaker which adds subtle touches to break up the Jordan's.
Typically some J's are hard to rock on the streets with their vibrant colours and out there shapes, these 11's are easy to don with most outfits thanks to its clean minimal aesthetic, so on or off the court, these will keep you looking fresh.
These will be released online tomorrow at 08:00 am BST (27/5/17) in limited numbers so make sure to be ready as they won't be lasting long.
